The arrest warrant issued for Lindsay Lohan was dropped after the judge announced that the actress had met the conditions of her probation for a prior DUI arrest. Los Angeles supreme court judge Marsha Revel said she did not have all the information on Lohan's case when she signed the arrest warrant for the 22-year-old starlet on Saturday. Although Lohan was not in court for today's hearing, her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley presented the judge with documentation showing the Mean Girls star had not violated her probation. Revel said Saturday's miscommunication was a result of Lohan changing treatment programs for alcohol abuse.
The warrant was a result of a May 2007 DUI arrest for Lohan star. Later that year Lohan was arrested again for DUI with that second arrest also resulting in a cocaine possession charge. Lohan is just one of many celebrities to be affected by DUI arrests recently. Earlier this month former NBA star Charles Barkley was released from an Arizona prison after serving three days of a 10-day sentence after a DUI arrest
The addictive behavior cuts accross all of society and inevitably leads to a path of destruction. The legal entanglement is the first interventionsist. Time to get help.
